For ClockIt to read data from your biometric device, you will need to configure your internet router and your biometric finger print time and attendance device.

  1.  Access the setting on your biometric device. 

  2. You might need admin privileges if you have locked your device. 
  3. Admin privileges can be as simple as your fingerprint, PIN, RFID or even facial recognition. 
  4. Goto the network settings in your device. 
  5. Setup the static IP for your device along with the subnet mask and default gateway. NOTE: Getting this wrong will prevent the device from responding to ClockIt. 
  6. Save and exit. 
  7. Ping your device from your local network to ensure that everything is working as planned. 

Configuring your internet router.

  1. Login into your ClockIt account and goto Company > Manage Device.
  2. Enter the Public IP or domain and the port that you have setup. 
  3. Save your settings and now ClockIt should be able to read data from your device.
  4. Data is polled from your device every 30 mins. 
  5. All device logs can be obtained from by clicking on the online/offline tablabels.
  6. All previous data that is saved in your biometric device will be pulled once a connection is established with the device. If you wish to run analysis on this data, pulling previous data might be useful.
  7. Note that if you have signed up for a 10 user account for example, and after you sync your device another set of users are added in, ClockIt will automatically block your account until you upgrade your account. If you are in trial you can upgrade your account to the next plan for the rest of your trial period.
